Sales Development Representative

Monetate is seeking high-energy, driven Sales Development Representatives to join our sales team. Sales Development Representatives help generate leads and support our Regional Sales team by hunting for new business within specific territories. The SDR role is training ground for individuals wishing for a career in sales and successful SDRs will have growth opportunity within the company.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be:

  • The first point of contact for many of our leads and potential customers
  • Identifying, developing and securing all relevant direct sales opportunities through outbound prospecting (email, phone and social campaigns)
  • Researching and identifying target prospects for Monetate’s platform
  • Responding to and qualifying all inbound marketing leads
  • Conducting high-level qualification phone conversations (potentially with senior executives) to identify strong sales opportunities
  • Communicating our platform’s value proposition effectively to overcome objections
  • Working closely with Monetate’s Sales Directors to drive territory coverage and improve your sales skills
  • Achieving weekly, monthly & quarterly activity (call/email) and lead generation targets    


  • Minimum 1-2 years of business experience post-grad (Inside Sales or Sales Development experience a plus)
  • Enterprise phone and email prospecting experience a plus
  • Strong desire to be in Technology Sales/become a closing SaaS Sales Representative
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure
  • Ability to learn and retain product-specific information as it pertains to the position
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Organizational skills for proper territory planning/management
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated track record of goal-driven achievement
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and internal drive to succeed
