We are seeking a Director of Sales Operations. This individual will partner with key leaders and stakeholders in Monetate’s Sales Group to drive KPI analytics, compensation plans, strategic enablement, functional systems requirements and process optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a knack for articulating desired outcomes and executing effective solutions. The Director of Sales Operations is an analytical, influential, self-driven individual who enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a fast-paced startup/pre-IPO environment.  We are seeking candidates based in the Philadelphia area, though highly-qualified remote candidates will be strongly considered.


  • Develop and maintain Sales Performance KPI’s.
  • Lead Sales KPI forecasting, P&L planning, and budgeting processes.
  • Develop drivers-based models for headcount and resource-planning.
  • Define and implement processes and policies to create efficiencies.
  • Develop Board-level, executive-level and Sales team-wide presentations.
  • Design and implement and administer effective incentive compensation programs.
  • Develop and produce regular performance reports and provide strategic input on improvements and actions for Sales personnel.
  • Partner with Business Systems department to optimize CRM and integrated platforms to increase accuracy of reports and enhance the effectiveness of business systems for Sales.
  • Serve as the liaison between Sales regions and other areas of the business, such as Finance, Accounting, Human Resources & Information Technology.
  • Partner with Learning & Development Department to drive the development of high-impact Sales Enablement content.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Up to 25% travel (domestic and international) is required.


  • 5+ years experience in Sales Operations in the SaaS Software industry.
  • Strong business, financial and technical acumen, leading to rapid understanding of Monetate’s Sales operations in order to shape operational strategy.
  • Excellent communicator. Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, and demonstrating ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Experience developing and implementing SaaS Sales compensation plans.
  • Experience measuring and positively impacting Sales performance through partnership with organizational leaders and direct engagement with field sales and services personnel.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced functions in Excel.
  • Strong proficiency with and the ability to navigate object models and advanced reporting.
  • Ability to implement KPI’s that are relevant to day-to-day Sales Management, as well as “up-level” KPI results packages for Executives and Board.
  • Affinity toward simple and effective solutions to seemingly complex problems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.


  • MBA or other post-graduate education.
  • Experience as a sales representative.
